New content is coming to Disney+! The streaming service from Disney has announced which new TV shows and movies will be added to its lineup next month, and of course that means, more options for the whole family! There’s a handful of titles to look forward to in April, including a new Earth Month Collection and new weekly episodes of your favourite Disney+ Originals—plus, the new Pixar movie Onward is coming to the platform early! Check out the full lineup with specific release dates below.
But first, an important note: The age recommendations offered below are approximate. Every kid is different, and you’re the best judge of what’s appropriate and what your kid can handle.
Onward
Best for: 6+
Teenage elf brothers Ian and Barley Lightfoot (voices of Tom Holland and Chris Pratt) get an unexpected opportunity to spend one more day with their late dad, embarking on an extraordinary quest aboard Barley’s epic van Guinevere. Like any good quest, their journey is filled with magic spells, cryptic maps, impossible obstacles and unimaginable discoveries. But when the boys’ fearless mom Laurel (voice of Julia Louis-Dreyfus) realizes her sons are missing, she teams up with a part-lion, part-bat, part-scorpion, former warrior – aka The Manticore (voice of Octavia Spencer) – and heads off to find them. Chip and Dale think they see a dragon coming toward their tree. It’s really just Donald with a power shovel, clearing the way for a freeway, but he decides to play along, fitting a welding torch to the jaws for an appropriate flame. Available April 3

Lambert, The Sheepish Lion

A delivery stork mistakenly delivers Lambert, a lion cub, to a flock of sheep. The mother won’t let the stork take him back, so Lambert is raised as a sheep, but he just doesn’t fit in. Available April 3
