You Can Now Register For Microsoft Ignite 2020 | MakeUseOf

Back in August, we reported on how Microsoft Ignite would return as two online events. Now, Microsoft has opened registration for the first half of the virtual event—and it’s totally free.

Microsoft Ignite is a big event that allows developers to rub shoulders with those who work for Microsoft. In the past, it allowed developers to trade business cards and network with like-minded fellows.

However, due to the pandemic, Microsoft moved it online and split the event into two halves. The first event starts on September 22 2020, while the other will happen sometime in 2021.

Now, Microsoft has opened the gates for people to register their spot in the first half of the event. To sign up, head over to the Microsoft Ignite website and click “Register now” to get started.

During the event, you can tune in and watch sessions live from the comfort of your own home. However, if something crops up in the middle of an event, you’ll have access to video-on-demand as long as you registered.

This registration period is only for the first half, starting on September 22. If you want to register for the second half, you’ll have to keep your eyes peeled for a future announcement. We’ll keep you updated when Microsoft announces a registration date for the second half of Ignite 2020.

If you’re a developer that uses Microsoft’s tools, and you have nothing better to do in a post-pandemic world, it’s worth giving Ignite a try. Not only is it free, but you get learning resources from experts in the field to make your programming even better.

Microsoft has done a lot to help developers achieve their goals. After all, the company has given out programming tools for free to help people learn how to code without spending any money.
