If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on the Motorola Razr 5G in the US, you won’t have to wait much longer.
Motorola’s latest foldable smartphone will be available unlocked and from carriers, so you can purchase one in a way that works for you.
Motorola Razr 5G Availability
The Motorola Razr 5G is set to launch in the US on October 2 at all sorts of retailers and carriers in the United States. While the phone is set to release on October 2, it doesn’t appear to be available for preorder just yet.
Not only will it be available just about anywhere, but there are quite a few discounts available as well. Retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, and Motorola itself offer $200 off on the unlocked device. That brings the total down to $1,199, which is a bit easier to swallow than the full price.
If you prefer to snag the phone through a carrier, you can get the phone from AT&T and T-Mobile with substantial discounts if you trade-in your current phone.
Motorola Razr 5G Specs
If you’re not sure whether the Razr 5G is for you, let’s have a quick look at the specs offered by the device.
Starting with the foldable screen, there’s a 6.2-inch foldable plastic OLED with a 2,142×876 resolution. Motorola claims that the phone can handle 200,000 flips, which is important for a phone that you’re going to use all the time.
There’s also a 2.7-inch Quick View display on the outside that’ll let you access the basics without opening your phone (like the flip phones of yesteryear).
Under the hood, you’ll find a Snapdragon 765G with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Obviously, it’ll feature 5G connectivity. Hence the name Motorola Razr 5G.
The battery has received a bump from the original Razr, going from 2,510mAh to 2,800mAh. That means it should be able to make it through a whole day without much issue for most users.
