Elon Musk, everyone’s favorite billionaire, has a new job title at Tesla. Instead of being called the plain old CEO of his electric car empire, Musk wanted something with a bit more spice. That’s why he’ll now be known as the Technoking of Telsa.
Musk Crowns Himself the Technoking
In a US Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Musk officially changed his job title to the Technoking of Tesla.
Zach Kirkhorn, the CFO of Tesla, underwent a title change as well. Instead of being labeled as the company’s CFO, he’ll be called Tesla’s Master of Coin, which is a blatant reference to the Game of Thrones.
Kirkhorn’s name change likely alludes to Tesla’s $1.5 billion investment in bitcoin, as well as its plans to start letting customers make payments using the cryptocurrency. And as for Musk’s new job title, it’s more than likely that he wants to give himself a pat on the back for being one of the biggest technological innovators in the present-day.
