If you use Google’s Weather app to get the weather forecast on your Android device, you realize that Google hasn’t updated this app in a long time. Luckily, that’s going to change as the company is making various design changes to the app.
Google’s Redesigned Weather App for Android Arrives Soon
As per a 9to5Google report, Google is making various design changes to its Weather app. This includes making the app Material-theme ready and ensuring it blends well with other modern elements.
While Google has made several design changes to the app, the core functionality still remains the same.
New Design Changes in the Weather App
You’re going to see quite a few redesigned elements in the new Weather app.
The search bar at the top now has rounded corners. The Today, Tomorrow, and 10 Days tabs have also received a design revamp.
Your profile icon has replaced the standard menu option at the top. This menu now reveals your profile and options to add the app to your home screen.
These changes are currently only live in Search’s beta channel. Stable build users will have to wait a while to get their hands on the newly updated Weather app.
