WASHINGTONU.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos has approved two additional states to assess student achievement in new, creative ways. Georgia and North Carolina will take part in the innovative assessments pilot program, part of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), during the 2019-2020 school year.
