17 kids’ movies and shows that are new on Netflix Canada in August 2020

Netflix Canada has announced which new TV shows and movies it will be adding to its lineup next month, and of course that means, more options for kids! There’s a handful of titles to look forward to in August, including great picks for kids including a new Magic School Bus Rides Again movie and The Spongebob Squarepants Movie! Plus, they’re adding The Little Rascalshello, childhood! Check out the full lineup with specific release dates below.

But first, an important note: The age recommendations offered below are approximate. Every kid is different, and you’re the best judge of what’s appropriate and what your kid can handle.

The Magic School Bus Rides Again Kids In Space

Best for: 5+
The Magic School Bus kids blast into space and onto the International Space Station, only to find themselves on the run from a giant tardigrade! Available August 7

Netflix is only taking one kids’ titles off next month: the 1996-version of Roald Dahl’s Matilda. Luckily, there is still plenty of time left to give it a watch as a family since it’s not leaving until the 31st. Everyone to the couch!
