Fitbit Reveals Sense and Versa 3 Smartwatches Packed With Features

Fitbit has just announced two new smartwatches on Fitbit.com, and they look like they could be the wearables non-iOS users have always wanted.

The Fitbit Sense and Versa 3 smartwatches will set you back $329 and $229, respectively. That’s on par for high-end smartwatches, so it seems like Fitbit is aiming for the sweet spot.

The bigger announcement coming from Fitbit is the Sense smartwatch, as it isn’t a follow up to an existing model. This is Fitbit’s high-end watch and it comes with all of the goodies you might expect.

It has all the features you’d expect to see from a watch with a $329 price tag. There’s GPS, six-days of battery life, improved heart-rate tracking, Google Assistant, stress management, heart health, skin temperature monitoring, and much more. If there’s something you could want a smartwatch or fitness tracker to do, the Fitbit Sense probably can do it.

The Sense comes in Carbon/Graphite Stainless Steel and Lunar White/Soft Gold Stainless Steel colors. It’s only available in one size, so you won’t be able to choose a smaller one if you have a smaller wrist.

The Fitbit Versa 3 looks to build on the success of the previous generation with some useful new features. It comes with a reasonable $229 price tag, which is solid for what it offers.

Like the more expensive Sense, the Versa 3 promises at least six days of battery life, built-in GPS, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and all that good stuff. It lacks some of the more advanced tracking offered by the Sense, but that’s to be expected with the lower price.

Compared to the Versa 2, the new model comes with the company’s improved PurePulse 2.0 heart-rate monitoring.

It’s not a game-changing upgrade compared to the Versa 2, and it’s probably not worth upgrading if you already have the previous model. But if you’re looking for a solid smartwatch that won’t break the bank and you don’t already have one, the Fitbit Versa 3 could be worth snagging.

Both watches go on sale on September 25, but they’re available for pre-order right now (Fitbit Sense and Fitbit Versa 3).

There are lots of smartwatches out there. There are high-end brands such as Samsung and Fitbit, plus plenty of budget brands to choose from.

Picking the right one for you won’t be easy, but as long as you’re willing to do a little research, you should be able to find the model that fits your needs.

Smartwatches offer lots of benefits; you just need to decide if one is necessary for your daily life.
