With more people around the world now working from home, Microsoft has been constantly updating its remote working app, Teams, to keep up with its users’ demands. Now, Microsoft has made an announcement of what you can expect from the productivity-boosting app.
Microsoft made this announcement on its Microsoft 365 Blog. In the post, Microsoft goes into detail as to what’s new to Teams.
Firstly, Teams now has a Tasks app. Instead of having to swap between programs all the time, you can now see all of your assigned tasks in one place.
The new Tasks app syncs up your jobs from To Do, Planner, and Outlook so you don’t need to leave Teams to see what needs to be done.
Second, Microsoft is adding functionality to Power Automate. For example, you can now use the tool to create a new team whenever you need a new group, or add a user mention into your automation to update people on what’s happening.
Third, Microsoft revealed a page full of apps designed to boost productivity in Teams. You can find the list of apps over at the Microsoft 365 for Partners website.
Fourth, you can now see Visio from a tab in Teams. Visio helps businesses create and design informative diagrams to help visualize workflows. You can now implement Visio diagrams within a channel or a chat, so that everyone is on the same page.
Finally, Microsoft Team’s Whiteboard feature is getting some handy new additions. You can now put sticky notes around the board and move objects with a drag-and-drop interface.
With people now using Teams more than ever, it’s important for Microsoft to keep up with the needs of the companies that use it. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like Microsoft is going to let remote workers down any time soon.
If you want to see what else Microsoft is doing with Teams, did you know that the company has raised the meeting limit to 20,000 participants?
