The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is Official and It’s Quite Affordable

Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy S20 FE: Fan Edition on Samsung.com. It brings with it many of the features that make the Samsung Galaxy S20 one of the most beloved smartphones on the market but at a fraction of the price.

Of course, Samsung needed to make some cuts in order to get the phone down to the affordable price tag, but the company managed to pick all the right places.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Specs and Features

The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage on the 5G version.

It features a solid 6.5-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O Display with a 1080×2400 resolution. That screen comes with a 120Hz refresh rate. If you’ve never experienced a phone with a high refresh rate, it truly is a game-changer.

There’s a really solid bunch of cameras on the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE. It comes with a 32MP selfie camera on the front. On the back, there’s a 12MP ultra-wide camera, a 12MP wide-angle lens, and an 8MP telephoto shooter.

Samsung included a 4,500mAh battery to keep the phone running throughout the day.

It’s available in a bunch of nice-looking colors, so you can choose the one that suits your style. There’s Cloud Red, Cloud Orange, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud Navy, and Cloud White.

The biggest downgrade between the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE and the original Galaxy S20 comes to the materials. The cheaper phone uses plastic rather than glass and metal. The screen is also FHD instead of QHD, which makes a big difference in terms of pixel density.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Price and Availability

One of the main selling points of the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE is the price. Samsung is set to sell the affordable flagship for $699, which is quite reasonable for the power the phone brings to the table. That included all the specs and power mentioned above and a 5G connection.

As far as availability, the phone is available for pre-order on Samsung’s websites right now. And you won’t have to wait long to receive your device, as it’s set to ship on October 2.
