Apple TV+ Is Now Available on Select Sony TVs | MakeUseOf

Surprisingly, Apple TV+ still isn’t available on some of the most popular devices. Apple is making moves to rectify that, including today’s news that the streaming service app is making its way to some Sony smart TVs.

Stream Apple TV+ on Some Sony TVs Now

Sony has announced that it is bringing the Apple TV app, which includes the streaming service Apple TV+, to some of its modern smart TVs.

Apple TV+ is the technology giant’s platform that plays host to original content like The Morning Show, Defending Jacob, and Greyhound.

“With the Apple TV app, we are making great entertainment even more enjoyable, and easier for customers to access,” said Sony in a press release.

The Apple TV app is available now in the US on Sony’s X900H series of TVs. If you own one of these sets, all you need to do is run a software update.

Select 2018 models will receive the app by the end of the year, along with most 2019 and 2020 models.

What Other TVs Does Apple TV+ Support?

Apple TV+ is available on a range of TVs from manufacturers like Samsung, LG, and Amazon Fire TV.

No doubt it will continue to expand to more places, as it only recently became available on Vizio TVs.
