Samsung TVs in 12 Countries Will Get Google Assistant This Year

Google always seems to find a way to make Google Assistant available on more devices. Today, Samsung has announced that it is bringing Google Assistant functionality to certain Samsung smart TVs starting later this year.

The company revealed on Samsung.com that Google Assistant is set to join Amazon Alexa and Bixby as the voice assistants supported by 2020 Samsung television models.

Google Assistant On Samsung TVs

Google Assistant on Samsung TVs can do just about anything it could do on another device, such as a Google Nest speaker. It can also control the TV with voice commands such as changing the channel, adjusting the volume, controlling playback, opening apps, and more.

Samsung TVs will also be able to control your smart home, provide information on the weather, and use Google services like Search, Photos, Maps, and Calendar.
