Xbox Game Pass Subscribers Can Now Preload EA Play Games

If you subscribe to the EA Play streaming service, you’ll be pleased to know that, if you also have Xbox Game Pass, you can now load up your favorite EA titles. That doesn’t mean you can play the games yet, but you can be ready to play them the second the service launches on November 10th.

How to Get EA Play Titles on Your Xbox Now

We have known for some time that EA Play is going to be available on Xbox Game Pass. Not only that but, for console Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, the service is included in your current subscription, free of charge.

This means that you will have access to more than 70 games, in addition to the 100-plus games available on Xbox Game Pass already.

In a recent Tweet, Tom Warren stated that EA titles can now be downloaded by Game Pass users, showing a screenshot that confirms that while they can be pre-loaded, they can’t be played until November 10th, when EA Play goes live on Xbox Game Pass.

How to Know If You Have Access to EA Play

You can check if you have access to EA Play, now. Simply switch on your Xbox One and go to My Games and Apps > Manage > Subscriptions. If you have access to EA Play you will see it in your subscription list.

Once you have confirmed that you have it, you are free to start downloading the games ready to play, even if you don’t already own them. This is great as it will save you a lot of time when the EA Play service launches on November 10th.

If you do have access, remember that you will need enough space on your Xbox hard drive, whether that is internal or external, in order to be able to preload the games. If you have any abandoned titles languishing on there, you might want to think about removing them to make some room.

EA Play Is a Great Way to Access More Titles

There’s no denying that this is an exciting addition to the Xbox Game Pass roster. EA Play brings way more value to the subscription service. Now that you can add titles to your library early, you can get yourself ready for EA Play launch day.

Subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate should be aware that this early access only seems to be available to those accessing the service on a console. If you access Xbox Game Pass on your PC, you will have to wait for EA Play to launch there on December 10th, 2020.
