Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Pro Price, Battery Life, and More Leak

One of the worst kept secrets going right now is the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. It almost seems like Samsung is trying to get the information out there, as the leaks keep coming.

A new leak from WalkingCat on Twitter shows off images with all kinds of information on the upcoming true-wireless earbuds from Samsung. Whether you want to know the price, battery life, or features, there’s something in this leak for you.

Everything We Know About the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro

There are two different slides (which you can see below) that provide tons of information about the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. Of course, it’s always possible that the slides could be fake, but they look legitimate, and the information contained is in line with what we’d expect to see.

First, the slide reported the price for the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro as $199. That makes sense, as the Galaxy Buds+ retails for $149 and the Galaxy Buds Live go for $169. Based on the upgrades offered with the Pro, this seems like the correct price. Compared to other high-end earbuds like the Apple Airpods Pro, these are slightly cheaper, which puts them in a good spot.

We also learned that buds will contain a 2-way speaker, just like the Galaxy Buds Plus. The Pro earbuds will also get intelligent noise-canceling technology, which promises to bring greater control over the experience. For high-end headphones, users expect some degree of control over their noise cancelation, so it’s good to see that Samsung includes that level of customization.

The other big thing we learned is the battery life. According to the slides, the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro will feature eight hours of listening time and four and a half hours of talk time. The charging case bumps the total play time to 28 hours. The Galaxy Buds+ have a slightly higher battery life, which makes sense, as the Pro’s extra features probably drain the power a little more.

Some other notable features include IPX7 water resistance, spatial audio, and a conversation mode.

All in all, it seems like Samsung is ticking all the right boxes with these earbuds, assuming the leaked slides are accurate.

When Will We Learn More About the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro?

While we can’t be sure when Samsung will announce the Galaxy Buds Pro, the company has an Unpacked event on January 14, 2021. Presumably, these will be made official there, so we shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to get our hands (and ears) on them.
