Help Your Baby Get Better Sleep With the New Hatch Rest Mini at CES

Hatch is one of the tech world’s leading names in the area of smart sleep products. It has come to CES 2021 with its newest device for 2021—the Rest Mini.

For those who don’t know, Hatch grew out of a need to help new parents and young babies. Some of the other devices in the company’s line-up include the Rest+ (an all-in-0ne sound machine, night light, wake-up light, baby monitor, and clock) and the Restore (an adult version of the Rest+).

What’s New in the Rest Mini?

The new Rest Mini marks a downsizing in physical dimensions.

Instead of trying to be an all-in-one device like the Rest+, the Rest Mini is only a sound machine. It has eight sounds available to play, all of which are soothing to young ears. The eight sounds are white noise, ocean, water, rain, soft wind, chirping birds, steady heartbeat, and a dryer.

Designed to encourage longer, deeper sleep, Rest Mini is a little smart sound machine that creates a calming environment to help babies and kids sleep soundly.

You can control the sound machine remotely via the smartphone app. That includes sounds, timers, volumes, and on/off. The timers let you set the sounds to run all night, or just for a few minutes while your kid is falling asleep.

Here’s how Ann Crady Weiss, co-founder and CEO of Hatch, described the new release at CES:

At Hatch, we’re always looking for ways to help families sleep better, and we love that Rest Mini gives parents a simplified solution to help their babies and kids sleep soundly at an affordable price. Knowing how important sleep is to overall health, Rest Mini was designed to help children establish healthy bedtime habits from day one, and to give parents one less thing to stress about when it comes to their child’s health.

The new Rest Mini will go on sale this year for $40, making it the cheapest product in the range. For comparison, the Rest+ is $90 and the Restore is $130.

Upgrades Coming Soon

Hatch was also keen to stress that it had more “sleep content” in the pipeline for 2021. The standout new update to look forward to is the release of a kids subscription. It will offer sleep stories, music, nursery rhymes, and more. The Rest Mini will be the first Hatch product to get the new content. The subscription price has not yet been confirmed.
