Nooie Returns to CES With Expanded Smart Home Range

Despite only being founded in the spring of 2018, Nooie has quickly grown to become a much-loved creator of smart home gadgets.

When we caught up with the Nooie team at their CES debut in 2020, they had just brought the Nooie Aurora smart lightbulb to market.

Fast-forward 12 months, and while CES is no longer the same, Nooie’s product line-up is better than ever. We dropped in at their virtual booth at Techfluence to catch up with their latest product.

The big news from 2020 is the launch of the Nooie Doorbell. It is the company’s seventh device to hit shelves—an impressive number considering Nooie is not yet three years old.

A Nooie Doorbell lets you keep an eye on your home from anywhere; you’ll always know when someone is knocking. It has two-way audio, 2K video resolution, high-quality night vision, and the ability to send customizable pre-recorded messages. You can tweak the sensitivity of the movement sensors and the camera is smart enough to detect between humans and other animals when sending you alerts.

For extra safety, there is even an alarm siren that you can activate when needed. Of course, you can also save and share footage that the camera has recorded with other people who live in your house. SD card storage and cloud-based storage are both supported. As you might expect, both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are supported for additional smart features.

All the Nooie Doorbells offer a quick and easy installation and have an anti-theft lock. The device is even IP66 weatherproof, so it will be able to keep recording and protecting around the year, even in the deepest cold of winter.

There’s a built-in Wi-Fi signal amplifier in case the doorbell is a long way from your router, and you don’t need to worry about the Nooie Doorbell running out of juice; one charge will last for up to a year.

The Nooie Doorbell costs $150 and is available directly from the Nooie website.

Other devices in the Nooie range include an indoor cam, a 360-degree cam, an outdoor cam, a smart plug, a smart power strip, and the aforementioned Nooie Aurora lightbulbs. During the presentation, the Nooie Cam 360 was the one that caught our eye. It offers 1080p resolution, motion tracking, motion and sound detection, and two-way audio. Like the doorbell, night vision is also supported.
