Samsung and Whisk Partner With Tastemade to Conquer Your Meal Planning

Samsung and Whisk have partnered with Tastemade to complement their recipe-driven meal planning and cooking experience on Samsung Family Hub refrigerators. With both Whisk and Tastemade in your Samsung kitchen, you can discover new recipes and turn them into delicious meals with minimal effort.

Tastemade and Whisk Are a Culinary Match

Whisk is an award-winning food app that can import your favorite recipes from any online source, export it to a collaborative smart shopping list or meal plan, and order groceries for delivery or curbside pickup from supported stores, including Kroger, Instacart, and Amazon Fresh. Tastemade is a media company that has built a massive following with inspiring food videos and recipes.

Whisk’s Nick Holzherr noted that people spend hours gathering ideas for what to cook. While inspiration is at an all-time-high, studies show that consumers struggle with turning new recipe ideas into meals. The partnership with Samsung and Whisk will make it easier for Tastemade followers to turn inspiration into home cooked dishes, by connecting the “what” to cook with the “how” to plan their meals.

Holzherr further said:

Access to Tastemade’s quality content both online and in user’s kitchens via the Whisk platform is a gamechanger for consumers. We know that food inspiration can come from anywhere at any time — in the aisles of the grocery store, while taking stock of what’s already in your fridge, or while online. Whisk makes it easy to take that inspiration from planning to plate with the click of a button, and now Tastemade’s content will be a part of that.

Upgrade Your Meal Planning

With Whisk and Samsung Family Hub in your kitchen, you won’t have to guess whether you have all the ingredients to try a newly discovered Tastemade recipe. When you’re done with your meal planning, you can let Whisk handle restocking of your fridge or pantry. Back in the kitchen, you can return to Tastemade for detailed cooking instructions  by accessing the recipes directly from your Samsung Family Hub screen.

Jeremy Strauss, Tastemade’s Head of Business Development, commented:

We’re thrilled to introduce our content on the Whisk platform, which will enable fans of our shows to easily save, share, and shop the recipes that they love in a few clicks. This partnership extends the deep connection between our fans and our content as Whisk provides a platform to showcase and amplify our recipes via an innovative integration that is Samsung’s line of smart fridges.

Tastemade recipes are available now on Whisk and Samsung’s Family Hub.

More Innovation Coming to Your Samsung Kitchen

Claudio Santos, Director of Product at Samsung, announced that consumers can expect more enhancements this year. Samsung will be launching Family Hub 6.0 with a new UI and themed boards that will help families stay connected, inspired, and really enjoying meal preparation.
