How to Take Screenshots on Your Apple Watch

Have you ever wanted to show off a new watch face or share your progress in the Activity app from your Apple Watch? Although it’s not that obvious, it is possible to take screenshots from your Apple Watch which are easy to share.

Apple seems to try its best to hide this feature, but it’s pretty easy to do. In this article, we’ll show you how.

First, Make Sure Screenshots Are Enabled

By default, taking screenshots from your Apple Watch is disabled. As we mentioned, Apple really likes to hide this feature. So you’ll first need to make sure you allow your Apple Watch to take screenshots.

Just follow these steps to do so:

  1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap on General.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom and make sure to turn on Enable Screenshots.

},

},
});

How to Take Screenshots on Your Apple Watch

Now that it’s enabled, taking screenshots on your Apple Watch is pretty straightforward. It’s pretty similar to how you take screenshots on your iPhone or iPad.

Just follow these steps:

  1. On your Apple Watch, press the Digital Crown and the Side Button at the same time.
  2. Release both buttons to snap the screenshot.

You should feel a small haptic vibration on your wrist, as well as see a white flash on your Apple Watch’s display. If that didn’t happen, you’ll need to try again.

Where Do Your Apple Watch Screenshots Go?

Just like your iPhone or iPad screenshots, the screenshots you take with your Apple Watch will go straight to the Photos app. You’ll find them in the Library and in the Screenshots folder.

Capture Every Minute

Now that you can take screenshots with your Apple Watch, showing off your new complications or custom watch faces will be easier than ever. Of course, you can also try to share your watch faces with friends and family instead of just showing them off.
