Microsoft Is Making It Easier to Raise Your Hand in Teams

If you’ve tried to raise your hand in Microsoft Teams before, you’ve probably noticed that there’s no quick and easy way to do so. However, Microsoft is planning to fix that by adding a keyboard shortcut that raises your hand rightaway.

The New Keyboard Shortcut for Microsoft Teams

OnMSFT first spotted the new feature announcement. Microsoft declared the development of this feature on the Microsoft Teams UserVoice.

The UserVoice isn a special forum where users can present what they want to see from Teams directly to the tech giant. We previously spotted Microsoft adding Teams meeting scheduling thanks to the UserVoice forum.

On said forum, someone had proposed the idea of adding a keyboard shortcut for raising your hand in a Teams meeting. Microsoft graced the thread with its presence and posted the following:

Thank you for your feedback. The team has started working on this feature for desktop Windows and Mac. Web clients will be worked on in the future. We will share an update as soon as one is available.

While we don’t have an exact release date, keep your eyes peeled for a future update that adds this hand-y feature.

Everyone Who Wanted This, Raise Your Hands

If you want a keyboard shortcut for raising your hand in Teams, you’re in luck. We’re not sure when it comes out, but it’ll be a welcome addition when it does launch on Teams.

If you like interacting in your Teams meetings, did you know that Microsoft will add emoji-like reactions to your video calls?
