How to Delete a Facebook Post

- Tap on the three dots icon located in the top-right of your post.
- Select the Move to Trash option from the list.
- Confirm your choice by tapping on Move.
To delete a post on your computer using the web version of Facebook:
- Head over to facebook.com.
- Sign in to your account and open the post that you want to delete.

Click on the three dots icon.

Select the Move to Trash option from the dropdown menu.

Click on Move to finalize the process.
The post will now be moved to your account’s trash bin. Keep in mind that deleted posts will remain in the trash for 30 days. The trash bin allows you to restore the posts that you deleted accidentally.
How to Mass Delete Facebook Posts
Some people have their timeline flooded with hundreds of posts they want gone from their accounts. In such situations, finding and deleting every post becomes tedious and time-consuming.
Luckily, Facebook has an option called Manage Your Activity which allows you to review the posts and status updates shared by you on your timeline. You can quickly go back and delete the posts that you don’t want others to see.
To delete Facebook posts in bulk:
- Open the Facebook app on your smartphone.

- Go to your profile by tapping on your name.
- Tap on the three dot icon.

Select Activity Log from the list of available options.

- Tap on the Manage Activity option.
- Select the option that says Your Posts.
- Now, select all the posts that you want to delete from your account. You can also check the All option to delete every post on your timeline.
- Once done, tap on the Trash option at the bottom of the screen.
The Manage Your Activity feature is not available for the web version of Facebook. You can only delete multiple posts using the app on your phone.
Tagged posts shared by Facebook friends and followers also appear on your timeline. You can delete such posts using the same steps as above. Removing people that you don’t know from your friend list can also have a positive impact on your Facebook timeline, as fewer people will be able to tag you in their posts.
