SoundCloud requires you to register and sign in to access all of its features. But there may come a time when you decide that you no longer want to use this service.
If you want to delete your SoundCloud account, but have no idea how to do it, read on for step-by-step instructions. You’ll also find out how to remove all of the data associated with your account, change your SoundCloud email, and delete songs.
Can You Delete Your SoundCloud Account?
In short, yes. But the only way you can delete your SoundCloud account is through the official SoundCloud website. At this time, it’s impossible to delete your account through the iOS or Android app. If you wish to delete it from your smartphone, you’ll have to open any browser, head to the SoundCloud site, and follow the steps described in this article.
Keep in mind that if you choose to delete your account, all of the data associated with it will also get deleted. This includes all of the sounds that you’ve uploaded using your account as well. Moreover, you won’t be able to recover any of that data after deleting your account.
The only exception to this policy is if your account was deleted by a hacker. In that case, you can contact SoundCloud support, and they may be able to restore your deleted account.
Even after deleting your SoundCloud account, there is still a chance that your account link will appear in Google’s search results. If you notice this and want to remove such information completely, you should fill out a public removal form.
How to Delete a SoundCloud Account
The only possible way you can delete your SoundCloud account is through the official SoundCloud website. To get started, open it on any preferred browser on your computer.
Then, you need to sign in to your account. Simply click on the Sign in button at the top menu bar, and enter your account details.
The next step is to click on the three dots at the top-right corner of the screen. When the dropdown menu appears, select Settings.

But what if you wish to delete not just your SoundCloud account, but also all of your saved data, such as usage data and uploaded sounds? To wipe this data, tick the box next to Yes, I want to delete my account and all my tracks, comments and stats. Remember that all of this data will be impossible to recover after you delete your account.

How to Delete Songs on SoundCloud
Just like with the process of deleting a SoundCloud account, you can remove a track from your account only through the official website. It’s impossible to delete a track through the SoundCloud app.
To remove a track from your SoundCloud account, follow these steps:
- Go to the SoundCloud website.
- Click your profile name from the menu at the top of the screen, and head to Profile.
- Click Tracks and navigate to the song that you wish to delete.
- Select the three dots located under that song, and then click Delete track.
- To confirm your decision, click Delete forever. Keep in mind that after you do this, your track, as well as all of the comments, likes, and plays associated with it will be gone forever. There is no way to restore this.
Also, remember that it is impossible to delete a song if it has been blocked for copyright infringement. In this case, you’ll still be able to view the track on your account, but it won’t be playable.
How to Change Your SoundCloud Email
If you don’t want to delete your SoundCloud account, but you lost access to the email associated with that account, it’s a good idea to change it to a different one.
To do this, launch any preferred browser, open the SoundCloud site, and sign in to your account. Then, click on the three dots located on the right side of the menu, and head to Settings.
Under the Account tab, you’ll find your current SoundCloud email address. Click Add an email address, and type in the new email that you want to use as your primary address. Then, click Add to save it.
Now, the next step is to confirm your email address. You’ll receive an email that asks you to click on the included link to confirm it.
Click it, and you’ll be automatically redirected to your SoundCloud account. After this, you’ll receive an email that a new email address has been added to your account.
To set the newly added email address as the primary one for your account, head to Settings > Account and click on the Make Primary button near the email. If you wish to delete the other one, then click the trash can icon located on the right side of that email.
Think Twice Before Deleting Your SoundCloud Account
If you are sure that you no longer want to use the SoundCloud audio distribution platform, then feel free to delete your account. However, remember that after you delete it, there is nothing that you can do to restore the data associated with that account.
You will be able to register as a new user, but your previously deleted account will be gone forever.
