Movies Anywhere Is Now Available on Samsung Smart TVs

Movies Anywhere, a tool which lets you consolidate your digital film collection, is now available on Samsung Smart TVs. The service can be downloaded and installed on any Samsung Smart TV that was manufactured in 2017 and later.

Movies Anywhere Comes to Samsung Smart TVs

Samsung Smart TV users will now be able to access over 8,000 films available in Movie Anywhere’s catalog. This can be done via the Movies Anywhere app, available on the Samsung Smart TV app store.

As such, the Movies Anywhere website’s list of compatible devices has been updated to include “Samsung Smart TV: Model years 2017-2020.”

The Samsung Smart TV version of Movies Anywhere receives the same features that are present on other platforms. Notably, Samsung TV users can take advantage of Movies Anywhere’s Screen Pass and Watch Together features.

The Screen Pass feature allows users to lend movies to a friend or family member. Users can lend up to three unique films in a month and the other party has seven days to accept the offer. Once someone begins watching, they have 72 hours to complete the film before the lease expires.

Watch Together allows a user to create a watch party and invite up to eight other people. The viewing experience is synced across all members and viewers can chat in real-time as well.

What Is Movies Anywhere?

In a nutshell, Movies Anywhere syncs your purchased movie libraries from multiple services, under one interface. This basically means that if you purchased different films from multiple platforms—such as Amazon Prime, iTunes, or Google Play—they can all be accessed at once using the Movies Anywhere website or app.

The complete list of compatible services is available on the official Movies Anywhere website.

A Major Expansion for Movies Anywhere

Samsung holds the largest share of smart TV sales in the US. Thus, an app for Samsung Smart TVs should boost Movies Anywhere’s userbase by a significant degree.

Movies Anywhere is already available across various devices, including Apple TVs, Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Sticks, Android TVs, Roku devices, LG TVs, and Vizio SmartCast TVs.

Additionally, the service also has apps for Android, iOS, and Amazon FireOS. And Windows and macOS users can access the service using their web browser.
