Qobuz, the French music streaming service, can now stream 24-bit hi-res music to Sonos speakers. Qobuz is the world’s first streaming service to support 24-bit hi-res FLAC music streaming on Sonos speakers.
While Tidal also supports hi-res music streaming on Sonos speakers, it does so in 16-bit/44.1 kHz. Sonos speakers can already playback 24-bit FLAC music files locally.
All Major Sonos Speakers Are Supported
According to Sonos Support, all Sonos speakers compatible with the Sonos S2 platform will support streaming 24-bit hi-res music from Qobuz. Which means any Sonos speaker released within the last few years. You will also need to use the Sonos S2 app on your phone to stream hi-res music from Qobuz’s library.
Qobuz has a library of over 70 million tracks, which it can stream in CD lossless and 24-bit hi-Res on Sonos speakers. To stream hi-Res music on your Sonos speaker, you must be subscribed to Qobuz’s Studio Premier or Studio Sublime plan. The subscription cost for which starts from $20/month.

Use the Sonos S2 App to Stream Hi-Res Music From Qobuz
If you own a Sonos speaker, you can add Qobuz streaming support by using the Sonos app. After that, you will have to use the app itself to search through Qobuz’s music library or your playlists, and listen to music on your Sonos speakers.
Sonos recommends that you have at least a 5Mbps internet connection for streaming hi-res music to your speakers.
Qobuz hi-res streaming will be available to Sonos owners in the US, UK, Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain, and Switzerland.
