New content is coming to Disney+! The streaming service from Disney has announced which new TV shows and movies will be added to its lineup next year, and of course that means more options for the whole family, including the new movie Raya and the Last Dragon on Premier Access plus new titles for grown-ups from their new content brand STAR (which parents are able to lock for kids through the parental controls). There are quite a few things to look forward to in March, so check out the full lineup with specific release dates below.
But first, an important note: The age recommendations offered below are approximate. Every kid is different, and you’re the best judge of what’s appropriate and what your kid can handle.
Titles for kids:
Raya and the Last Dragon
Best for: 6+
Raya and the Last Dragon takes us on an exciting, epic journey to the fantasy world of Kumandra, where humans and dragons lived together long ago in harmony. But when an evil force threatened the land, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, that same evil has returned and it’s up to a lone warrior, Raya, to track down the legendary last dragon to restore the fractured land and its divided people. However, along her journey, she’ll learn that it’ll take more than a dragon to save the world—it’s going to take trust and teamwork as well. With Premier Access for $34.99, viewers can watch Raya and the Last Dragon starting on March 5 before it’s available to all Disney+ subscribers.
Doc McStuffins: The Doc Is In
Best for: 4+
In this animated special, Doc McStuffins interacts with real kids, families and medical professionals about healthy habits. Available March 12
Big Hero 6 The Series, Season 3
Best for: 7+
Hiro and Baymax, along with friends Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Go Go and Fred, form the legendary superhero team Big Hero 6, protecting their city from scientifically-enhanced villains. Available March 19
The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, Season 1
Best for: 8+
In present day Minnesota, the Mighty Ducks have evolved from scrappy underdogs to an ultra-competitive, powerhouse youth hockey team. After 12-year-old Evan Morrow is unceremoniously cut from the Ducks, he and his mom, Alex, set out to build their own team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat, win-at-all-costs culture of youth sports today. Inside Pixar, Batch 3

Marvel Studios: Assembled
Best for: 10+
Marvel Studios: Assembled is a comprehensive documentary series that chronicles the creation of Marvel Studios’ thrilling new shows and theatrical releases. Journey behind-the-scenes of productions such as WandaVision, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and Loki via exclusive on-set footage. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children
Best for: 12+
A young boy named Jake discovers a house full of children with supernatural powers run by Miss Peregrine. Soon, he must help protect their home from terrifying enemies called Hollowgasts. Available March 12
Gnomeo & Juliet

Own the Room

Jane
Best for: 9+

Disney+’s new STAR content brand is generally geared towards grown ups, so the following titles aren’t recommended for kids, but again, every kid is different, and you’re the best judge of what’s appropriate and what your kid can handle.
