You Will Soon Get Suggested Replies in Outlook for Windows

In an effort to help you reply to your emails quickly, Microsoft is bringing suggested replies to Outlook for Windows. This feature will provide you with pre-written messages that you can quickly send as a reply to your incoming emails.

Suggested Replies in Outlook’s Web and Mobile Versions

Outlook’s suggested replies feature has been available on its web and mobile versions for a long time. If you use Outlook in your browser or on your Android or iOS device, you’ve probably used this feature to send quick replies to your emails.

Microsoft Will Bring Suggested Replies to Outlook for Windows

As seen in Microsoft 365’s roadmap on the Microsoft website, the company is looking to bring the suggested replies feature to Outlook for Windows.

The official message from Microsoft reads:

When you receive a message in email that can be answered with a short response, Outlook may suggest three responses that you can use to reply with a couple of clicks. This capability already exists in Outlook on the web, and in Outlook iOS and Android.

With this feature, Microsoft is basically trying to make it easier and quicker for you to reply to your emails. Any email that requires a short response can use this feature.

Availability of Suggested Replies in Outlook for Windows

Microsoft mentions in its roadmap that the suggested replies feature will be available to Outlook users starting this March.

The company says that the feature will be rolled out worldwide, which means you’ll be able to use it regardless of what region or country you are in.

Outlook’s Suggested Replies for Government Customers

Microsoft will be bringing the suggested replies feature for government customers as well. This feature will likely arrive by this April, which is a month after it’s rolled out for regular users.

Suggested replies will offer you three pre-written messages to choose from. These messages will be based on the content of your email.

On the currently supported devices, this feature is available for the English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, and Chinese Simplified languages. It’s highly likely the feature will support the same set of languages on the Windows platform as well.
