Jabra has rolled out a new firmware update for its Elite 85t wireless earbuds that adds Alexa support to them. This means you will now be able to use the earbuds to control Spotify, run various Alexa skills, control Alexa-compatible devices, and more.
The Jabra Elite 85t was announced back in September 2020 with Google Assistant and Siri support. With the latest firmware update, the Elite 85t supports all three major assistants. In January 2021, Jabra launched four new color options for the Elite 85t as well.
Run Alexa Routines, Call Contacts, and More Using Alexa
Using Alexa on your Jabra Elite 85t, you can run Alexa routines, which lets you trigger multiple tasks at once. You can also use Alexa to check the weather, pull up directions, call people in your contact book, and more.
If you have Alexa-compatible smart devices in your home, you will be able to control them directly using voice commands through your Jabra Elite 85t Bluetooth earbuds as well.

How to Update Your Jabra Elite 85t to Get Alexa Support
If you own the Jabra Elite 85t, you must use the Jabra Sound+ app on your iPhone or Android device to update it to the latest firmware Opening the Jabra Sound+ app will automatically prompt you to update the earbuds to the latest firmware.
Once the update is installed, you will have the option to use the Phone default or Amazon Alexa as the voice assistant of your choice. If you select Alexa, you must set up the voice assistant first using the Alexa app.
You can trigger Alexa on your Jabra Elite 85t by triple-tapping on the left or right earbud and then saying “Alexa” followed by your command. There’s no always-on hotword detection on the Jabra Elite 85t, so you cannot trigger the voice assistant of your choice by simply saying the hotword.
