Apple’s forthcoming mobile operating system iOS 15 will reportedly come with upgraded notifications, a new-look lockscreen, a food-tracking feature and other additions to the Health app, Dark Mode improvements, and tweaks to the Messages app.
That’s according to Connor Jewiss, a would-be Apple tipster from the UK, whose iOS 15 report was highlighted by 9to5Mac. While it’s worth noting that Jewiss is unproven when it comes to leaking information about Apple, the website nonetheless suggests that he could be accurate.
Coming Soon to WWDC
Apple is a couple of weeks from this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2021) event, when it shows off its new crop of operating systems—whether that is iOS, macOS, tvOS, or watchOS.
With features finalized and ready for the initial beta releases following the Apple keynote, this is the time of year when more and more accurate reports and leaks typically show up online. Jewiss, unsurprisingly, doesn’t mention their sources.
When I said I’d seen some iOS 15, I’m not going to disappoint:

More iOS 15 Rumors
Reports about what to expect from iOS 15 have been relatively thin on the ground so far. Unlike some years, in which seemingly everything is known about new Apple releases ahead of time, the company has apparently done a good job of minimizing leaks in 2021. One previous report, from Bloomberg star Apple reporter Mark Gurman, did share a few rumors, however.
Gurman suggested that the iPad version of iOS, iPadOS, will receive iOS 14-style widgets, allowing iPad users to customize their Home screens. He also noted that iPhones will get the ability to set automatic replies to messages based on user status, an improved iMessage app take on WhatsApp, and new privacy features.
