Now, when you first get your hands on Windows 11, you’ll notice a little Teams icon on the taskbar. Clicking this will bring up a contacts list from which you can call people quickly and easily.
Microsoft emphasizes that this feature lets you connect with people instantly, no matter what operating system they’re on. This means that it doesn’t matter if they’re on their phone or using macOS; if they’ve got Teams, you can connect to them.
The brief peek we got at Microsoft Teams for Windows 11 shows how you can message people and call them from this new widget. As such, it’ll be a handy messaging and file-sharing service for people who are already into Teams.
It makes a lot of sense, as Microsoft has been firing on all cylinders with its Teams app in recent months. After the pandemic caused a spike of users to join the platform, the company has been adding lots of exciting features to Teams over time.
