If you’ve been holding out on Amazon Luna to go public so you can try it for yourself, then you can give it a whirl during Prime Day, free of charge and without an invitation.

Play Amazon Luna Games on Prime Day 2021

Do you subscribe to Amazon Prime? Good, because that means you can play Amazon Luna games for free from June 21-22.

An Amazon.com announcement says:

For a limited time, Prime members can access games on Amazon Luna without requesting an invite for early access. Start a Luna+ 7-day free trial to play action, adventure, platformer, indie, shooter, RPG, racing, and classic games—and we’re always adding more.

If you want to take advantage of this Amazon Prime benefit, then you can. You just need to head to the announcement above and start your free seven-day trial. You might want to wait until June 21 to ensure you get the most out of your freebies.

Note that if you open an account and don’t cancel after seven days, Amazon will charge you a $5.99 a month early access subscription.

How Can You Play Amazon Luna Games?

You can play Amazon Luna titles in a number of different ways.

First, Amazon Luna is available via a wide range of devices. You can access it via a Windows PC, a Max, Amazon Fire TV, iPhone, iPad, and some Android smartphones.

You don’t necessarily need the Amazon Luna official controller (although it is likely to work best with this). You can play Luna games using the Xbox One controller, the PS4 DualShock, and some BlueTooth controllers. It also works with a keyboard and a mouse.

What Is Amazon Luna?

For the uninitiated, Amazon Luna is Amazon’s cloud gaming platform. It allows you to play a wide range of titles available via the platform, all from the cloud.

Luna games are available in a range of resolutions. This means that if a game runs in 4K, you can play it in 4K. Just be aware that, for this resolution, Amazon recommends that you have an internet connection of at least 35 Mbps.

Amazon Luna is currently only available in mainland US territories. This means that if you live outside the US, you won’t be able to access the service. Unfortunately, you’re going to have to wait, along with the rest of the world.

Will You Be Trying Amazon Luna?

What have you got to lose? As long as you remember to cancel the subscription if you don’t want to pay for the early access subscription. This will cost you $5.99 per month if you forget to cancel. Otherwise, happy free gaming!
