Over the past year, the pandemic has limited many people’s ability to meet others, or go out on dates. Now that things are getting better, Bumble–one of the most popular dating apps available–is opening a restaurant for couples to visit on dates.
Bumble Is Opening a Restaurant
As first reported by Engadget, dating app Bumble is opening up a restaurant later in the summer. The new restaurant, called Bumble Brew, will first open its doors on July 24 for a breakfast service in Manhattan, New York. At the time of launch, Bumble Brew will only serve breakfast. The restaurant will begin lunch and dinner a few weeks later.
Impressively, Bumble Brew can seat 80 people in its dining room, meaning that up to 40 couples could be on a date at once. Of course, the restaurant isn’t exclusively available for couples, anyone can visit. From the photos Bumble has already shared, we can see that Bumble Brew is also kitted out with a coffee and cocktail bar, merch stand, patio dining area, and private dining area for events hire.
As we can also see, Bumble Brew has been decorated in the app’s yellow shade, and features the app logo and honeycomb patterns throughout. While the restaurant hasn’t released a full menu yet, it has mentioned that it will be Italian-inspired. Just in case you’d rather have date-night at home, Bumble Brew will over both pick-up and delivery options as an alternative to sitting in.
Who Can Visit the New Restaurant?
Bumble Brew isn’t built-in to the Bumble app, so you won’t need to have the app downloaded to book a table, or order food. It’s possible that this is a feature Bumble might add later, but it isn’t at the moment.
Since you don’t need the Bumble app, anyone can visit Bumble Brew. You don’t need to use Bumble, have a Bumble account, or even really know what Bumble is. If you saw the restaurant, you could just walk in and sit down (or maybe not, depending on the reservation rules).

Opening a restaurant requires serious time and effort, and you wouldn’t expect a tech company to open one. But that’s exactly what Bumble’s done.
It seems that the dating app is fully committed to helping you start your relationship. It’ll match you, let you talk, and now even give you somewhere to go on a date. If Bumble isn’t the ultimate wing-man, I don’t know what is.
