Top 6 iOS Apps for Call of Duty Players

Call of Duty has been one of the most popular video game franchises for quite some time, and the introduction of their free-to-play battle royale mode Warzone has reinvigorated the series.

As the franchise continues to churn out guaranteed money-makers, this has given rise to a number of apps—both from the developers and the community. Here are some of those apps that you, as a Call of Duty player, should try out.

1. Call of Duty Companion App

The Call of Duty Companion App offers in-depth stats, heatmaps, guides, and news across Modern Warfare (2019), Black Ops Cold War, and Warzone. Updated in real-time, you can use it to analyze your gameplay stats, such as K/D ratio, score per minute, and heatmaps of where you killed and died in recent games. You can also use it to analyze your friends’ stats, either individually or in comparison to your own.

On the Intel tab, the app offers Warzone guides, News on the franchise, and its COD League eSports. It is truly eye-opening to analyze the games on your match history and get a data-driven idea of how you perform. The UI is sleek and compact, making it easy to navigate despite the impressive amount of data it offers. A must-have app for any Call of Duty fan.

2. Call of Duty Mobile

Call of Duty Mobile is a free-to-play mobile version of Call of Duty. It offers a pocket-sized version of the shooter that runs fluidly and allows you to sharpen your skills while on the go, or if you’re away from your console or PC and need your Call of Duty fix.

COD Mobile offers a mixture of maps and guns from past Call of Duty games, with fan favorites such as Firing Range (Black Ops) and Crossfire (Modern Warfare 2007) being available. There’s no shortage of modes, with regular Multiplayer, Battle Royale, and Ranked modes all featured.

What’s extra neat is that you can link your pre-existing Call of Duty account, but it’s worth mentioning that COD Points from the main line of games do not carry over to the mobile version.

COD Mobile is regularly updated and can even be played with a Dualshock controller that’s connected to your iPad or iPhone. This gives you an extra edge over enemies who use traditional phone controls.

3. COD Gun Stats, Guides, and Camos

COD Gun Stats, Guides, and Camos is an unofficial app that does what it says on the tin: offers stats and guides for guns featured in Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Warzone, and Black Ops Cold War. It has a light-hearted approach, simple color scheme, and UI, but packs a load of information for free on each gun.

Simply click on the gun you want to analyze, and select the loadout you want to use. It will then bring up stats such as time-to-kill, damage-per-second, shots required to kill depending on where your bullets hit (head, chest, etc). You can filter stats you want via the right-hand side—with options such as Damage, Firepower, Reload, Ammo, etc.

The app also features a camo tracker, which allows you to manually track your progress towards Gold, Diamond, and Dark Matter camos across all weapon classes. Impressively, you can also compare up to four weapons with filters of your choice—displayed via graphs and charts for easy data analysis.

4. Landing Spin for Warzone

While you can play Warzone solo, it is geared towards team-based gameplay and that’s often where the most fun from it comes. Playing with your friends isn’t always plain-sailing, as arguments over what routes to take and objectives to go for can quickly arise.

Luckily, Landing Spin for Warzone eliminates the first possible argument of “Where shall we drop?” by choosing for you! Kicking your game off with a team that gets along is a great way to maximize your chances of winning at Warzone.

Covering both the Verdansk and the Rebirth Island maps, the app will choose a destination for you or your team to land. This app is useful if your squad typically argues over where to land or you’re playing solo and want to add a bit of spontaneity to how your game’s going to go.

Further, using the Filters tab, you can de-select areas you don’t want to be considered, giving you some agency over the landing spot while also ensuring there’s some mystery to how your game will begin.

WZ Stats – Warzone Tracker is a community app that allows you to check your Warzone stats as well as other players around the world, specifically content creators and famous players. While it can be a little tricky to set up tracking stats for your own profile, the app offers instructions on how to do this.

You can track the Leaderboards, filter it via your KD League, and there’s also a tab for Top Players which has a list of the most famous Warzone players. This allows you to check their KD, wins/losses, percentages of their wins/loss and kills/games, as well as getting a more thorough breakdown of their last 100 matches. You can also favorite certain players to check on them even quicker in the future, rather than having to manually search them up every time.

Strafe is a live score, schedule, and news app focused on eSports. While it doesn’t focus specifically on Call of Duty, it updates regularly and allows you to track the game so that you’ll never miss an update, either through their Calendar tab or through enabled push notifications.

Strafe also brings a community element by offering badges that you can earn for your profile by predicting how certain eSports matchups will go, and a leaderboard to help you see how you match up to other users.

It offers a lot of information on the various eSports teams, allowing you to click on them and see the teams’ roster and their statistics such as Best Map, Win Rate, and Rank.
