On the home screen of When to Fish, you’ll see an overview of what the day looks like and whether it’s a good day to go fishing. You can see the weather, temperature, wind, humidity, sunrise time, fish activity, and solunar prediction for the current day and next day.

The Fishing Forecast app’s home screen shows you a ton of daily weather information relevant to fishing. You can see current pressure, wind speed, humidity, cloudiness, and sun and moon phase times. You’re able to see a forecast of all that information up to five days in advance so you can easily plan your next fishing trip.
The app has a section that lets you see around what time each day (for the next five days, at least) specific fish species should be biting. A few fish on the list include arctic cisco, trout, eel, flounder, snook, and herring.

The free version of the app will let you see the current day’s and next day’s forecast, but if you want to see further, you have to purchase the pro version for $3.99.
On the dashboard, you’ll see an overall percentage for the day, describing fishing conditions as good, fair, and so on. Then, you’ll see an hourly breakdown and estimates of what times would be best for fishing throughout the day. It’ll also give you the rise and set times of the sun and the moon.

There are five separate forecast tabs you can look at when planning your next outing: Fish activity, Waves, Tides, Weather, and Solunar. If you don’t live somewhere near an ocean, you don’t have to worry about the Waves and Tides sections, but all the other forecasts will come in handy.
In addition to getting detailed fishing forecast info, you can also use the app as a catch log. For each catch, you can add a photo and record the fish length and weight. There’s also a detailed fish dictionary for both freshwater and saltwater fish so you can research handy details about the fish you’re trying to catch.
