If WhatsApp users send a message to the wrong person or believe it’s inappropriate for the recipient, WhatsApp allows them to delete it. If a sender deletes a message, the recipient sees a “This message was deleted” banner instead of the original message. WhatsApp does not offer any way to view deleted messages—however, some workarounds make it possible.
