Using Smartphone Photography to Improve Mental Well-Being

I recently found myself standing in a particularly long queue waiting for my morning Americano. As most people do, I thoughtlessly pulled out my smartphone, but instead of the usual social media scroll, I flipped to the neglected camera app and began capturing the previously mundane–steam curling from the barista’s machine, the way morning light hit a nearby potted plant, an old man engrossed in his book.
