The Samsung Galaxy S21 was one of the most anticipated smartphones of the last few years. Samsung did a fantastic job of creating hype for the phone, and now that many of the reviews have come out, it appears that hype was more than deserving.
Now, the company has revealed that the phone has set new preorder records in the UK, as reported by SamMobile. That means that Samsung fans are jumping at the opportunity to get their hands on a device from the Galaxy S21 series.
Galaxy S21 Preorder Records
Samsung says that the Galaxy S21 series has outperformed both the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S20 phones in terms of pre-orders, which is no small feat considering how popular both of those devices were.
What’s most surprising is that the Galaxy S21 Ultra accounted for over 50 percent of the UK’s pre-order success. While that phone is quite a bit more expensive than the base model Galaxy S21, it appears that the features were more than worth it for a large percentage of buyers.
Samsung noted that the Galaxy S21 Ultra surpassed the Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S21+ combined.
Samsung cites “innovation in spades” as the reason for the increased success of its top-of-the-line model. Whatever the cause, it’s clear that Samsung has a fantastic flagship on its hands that buyers can’t get enough of with the way preorders have blown up in the UK.
Why Are People Flocking to the Galaxy S21 Ultra?
All of the Galaxy S21 phones are packed with features and solid specs, but the Ultra is genuinely something special.
It features one of the most robust camera systems of any flagship smartphone. It comes with a beastly 108MP primary shooter with an f/1.8 aperture. There’s also a 10MP periscope telephoto lens, a 10MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide shooter. You’ll have a hard time finding a smartphone with a better camera system.
The phone features a gorgeous 6.8-inch 120Hz display with a 1440×3200 resolution. There’s support for HDR10+, so you’ll get some incredibly vibrant colors and images. It even comes with the ultra-durable Corning Gorilla Glass Victus glass.
As far as the power, in the UK (and everywhere outside of the US and China), the phone comes with an Exynos 2100 processor. The US and China get an equally-powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.
To put it simply, if there’s something you want a smartphone to have, the Galaxy S21 Ultra probably has it (and it probably has a bunch of stuff you didn’t even know you wanted).
