Are you best friends with Tom Nook? Or are you a rip-roaring turnip trader turning root vegetables into profit? However you enjoy Animal Crossing, you can add to the experience with the new HORI accessories designed around the game.
HORI Teams Up With Animal Crossing for New Switch Goodies
HORI is well-known for its licensed, third-party Nintendo products. They’re widely available in the US, and your options are about to grow as Animal Crossing: New Horizons becomes the latest game represented by the brand.
The accessory brand’s selection of new products will be available from April 2021 in Japan. While there remains no mention of a global launch, given that you can get plenty of HORI accessories in the States, we can’t see it being a problem if you want to buy one here.
In the meantime, you can check them out on HORI.jp. This is a Japanese website, but you can still look at the images and read some text with a translator.
What Are HORI’s New Animal Crossing Switch Accessories?
HORI is currently lining several products up for launch.
First, you’ll be able to get a carrying bag. This can fit both a Switch and/or Switch Lite console, plus games. Now you can take Animal Crossing with you while you do some real life island hopping.
Also available is a smaller Switch Lite carry case. This obviously has less room than the carrying bag. However, it will protect your Switch Lite while you’re busy adventuring. A matching game case is also available.
An Animal Crossing-themed Switch stand is up for grabs, too. These are handy even if you have a Switch Lite, especially if you are using separate controllers.
Speaking of which, there is an Animal Crossing controller in the works. From the product image, this is a wired controller. However, the details could change at any time, as per the product page.
Can You Get Other Themed Nintendo Switch Products?
Heck yeah! Of course you can. Some of these are first party products created by Nintendo (like the Monster Hunter Rise Switch it is releasing, or the forthcoming Mario-themed console).
However, Nintendo also grants licenses for third-party brands to create products bearing Nintendo’s intellectual property. HORI is one such brand, but others include PowerA, which also manufactures controllers and accessories for the Switch.
Get Your Animal Crossing-Themed Switch Gear Soon
As mentioned, all of this bounty is ready for discovery as of April. So, keep your adventurer’s hat and butterfly net at the ready so you can join in the Animal Crossing fun when Hori drops its new range.
In the meantime, it might be worth your checking out what other cool accessories are available for the Nintendo Switch. There’s plenty to find!
