Paramount+ has launched. The streaming service has rebranded from CBS All Access and is now available in some countries.
What Is Paramount+?
Paramount+ is now available in the US, some parts of Latin America, and Canada. You can sign up on the Paramount+ website.
It will launch in the Nordics on March 25 and in Australia later this year. Other countries are planned, though no details have been given.
Paramount+ is owned by ViacomCBS and is a rebrand of the CBS All Access streaming service. It contains all the content that lived there, but will also play host to a bunch of exclusive programming like a Rugrats and Fraiser revival.
Paramount’s movies like A Quiet Place Part II and Mission: Impossible 7 will also stream on the service around a month after they debut in theaters.
It costs $9.99/month without ads or $5.99/month with ads, though the latter tier will drop to $4.99 in June 2021. Until March 31, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial.
Paramount+ is also available on a wide range of devices, including iPhone, Android, Chromecast, Roku, Fire TV, and smart TVs.
Whether Paramount+ can make a dent in a crowded market with the likes of Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu remains to be seen.
