5 must-watch Disney Plus shows and movies coming in May

New content is coming to Disney+! The streaming service from Disney has announced which TV shows and movies will be added to its lineup next month and we’ve chosen the five titles we’re most excited about—including Emma Stone’s turn as Cruella de Vil and a brand new Star Wars show called The Bad Batch.

But first, an important note: The age recommendations offered below are approximate. Every kid is different, and you’re the best judge of what’s appropriate and what your kid can handle.

Disney Special Agent Oso, Seasons 1-2

Best for: 3+
Just like last month, there aren’t any brand new shows for the youngest viewers. However, this Disney Junior series from 2009 will be put on the service in May, and if your kid hasn’t seen it yet, they’re sure to love it. Oso is an adorable teddy bear who just happens to also be a special agent in training. With help from kids at home, he sets out to complete missions for the United Network for Investigating Quite Usual Events, an international network of stuffies whose main goal is to show kids how to complete everyday tasks such as mailing a letter, using a library or just cleaning their room.  Available May 14

Cruella

Best for: 9+
You’ve seen the trailers, and the wait will soon be over! In 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, a clever and creative young grifter named Estella is determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets. One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute, but their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella. With Premier Access for $34.99, viewers can watch Cruella starting on May 28 before it’s available to all Disney+ subscribers.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch

Best for: 8+
This brand new show follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch, who were first introduced in the final season of The Clone Wars. A unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army, the Bad Batch tries to find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Each member possesses a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew. Series premiere available on May 4 with new episodes available every following Friday in May

Ferdinand

Best for: 5+
This 2017 movie isn’t new but perhaps it’s new to your family! If you haven’t had a chance to watch it, you should. Ferdinand is a sensitive and soft-hearted bull who grows up on a flower farm after escaping the bull-fighting training house known as Casa del Toro when he was a calf. However, one day a misunderstanding lands hims back in that terrible place, where he’s forced to fight or get sent to the chop house. Follow along as Ferdinand and his new friends attempt to escape the ring, while staying true to his pacifist beliefs. Available May 7

Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Neverbeast

Best for: 4+
Like Ferdinand, this movie isn’t new and there’s a chance your family will have seen it before. However, this final instalment of the Tinkerbell series being added to Disney+ means that there will be four out of the six movies in the series available to watch anytime you want. First released in 2014, this movie follows Tink and her pal Fawn as they befriend Gruff, a creature who is prophesied to transform into the dreaded NeverBeast and has the power to destroy Pixie Hollow in a deadly storm. Tink and Fawn know that Gruff is friendly, but will they be able to show everyone the truth and prevent the other fairies from capturing him? Available May 21
